About our walking holidays for singles on Menorca
Our singles walking holidays on Menorca are designed to be enjoyed, not endured. Created especially for single travellers, they offer gentle scenic walking, wonderful food and wine and a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. We also understand that travelling alone, especially for the first time in a while, can feel daunting. So if you’d like to bring a friend for support, that’s absolutely fine. The only rule is – no couples.
The holiday is based at a charming beachfront hotel, with no single supplements to pay and no room sharing required. It’s the ideal balance of comfort, companionship and gentle outdoor adventure.
The walks
Our Menorca walks are all around 6 miles, taken at a relaxed, enjoyable pace. Many follow the island’s stunning coastline, with clifftop paths, turquoise coves and beautiful sea views. We also explore Menorca’s lush countryside and dramatic limestone ravines, giving you a wonderful variety of landscapes throughout the week.
All walks are personally guided by your holiday organisers and hosts. A backup vehicle accompanies the group each day, there if anyone needs a lift and allowing us to respond quickly in the unlikely event of an emergency. The vehicle also carries plenty of fresh drinking water, plus tea, coffee and biscuits, which we enjoy together during the day’s activities.
Our holiday base
Our base for the week is the wonderful Hotel Playa Santandria, set in the charming bay of the same name. The hotel sits right on the beach, just 20 metres from the water’s edge, offering a peaceful and picturesque setting throughout your stay.
Although Cala Santandria has a quiet, relaxing feel, there are several bars and restaurants within a five-minute walk and the hotel has its own delightful beachside café. Family owned and adults only, the hotel offers bright, modern rooms, all with a balcony and lateral sea view.
Facilities include a large sea-facing sun terrace, a small outdoor swimming pool, a compact gym and a lovely breakfast room with beautiful views over the bay. This is our fourth year working with Hotel Playa Santandria and many of our guests return year after year to enjoy its calm atmosphere and warm, personal service.
