About our Mallorca Experience Plus holiday

Mallorca Experience Plus combines gentle walks, cultural visits, fine food and comfortable accommodation in one beautifully balanced holiday. It’s designed for travellers who love the outdoors, but prefer to experience it at an easy, enjoyable pace – no hard miles, no rush, just time to soak up Mallorca’s scenery, flavours and charm. As with all our holidays, the most important ingredient is fun and camaraderie among like-minded people. Expect laughter on the trail, relaxed lunches in the sun and the friendly, unhurried atmosphere that makes a Balearic Outdoor Holiday so special.

Your week

During the week, you’ll enjoy three gentle guided walks of around 3-4 miles each, along with two professionally guided cultural visits – the perfect balance of light activity, discovery and relaxation.

For 2026, here is an idea of what the schedule may be:

Friday 2nd October – Arrival Day. Settle in at the hotel and unwind after your journey. Welcome supper in the evening and chance to get to know your hosts and other guests in the group.
Saturday 3rd October – Gentle guided 3–4 mile walk exploring Mallorca’s varied landscape. Finished off with a wonderful group lunch of 3-courses with wine in a local restaurant.
Sunday 4th October – Guided cultural tour of central Palma with a qualified local guide. Again, followed by a fabulous group lunch.
Monday 5th October – Another relaxed 3-4 mile walk through local trails and coastline. Followed by another fabulous 3-course lunch.
Tuesday 6th October – Free day to rest or explore at your own pace.
Wednesday 7th October – Visit to Mallorca’s largest vineyard, including a guided tour and wine tasting, with a group lunch to finish.
Thursday 8th October – Final gentle 3–4 mile walk, rounding off a week of relaxation and connection. This, of course, will also include a group lunch on our last day together.
Friday 9th October – Departure day.

All walks are taken at a comfortable, easy-going pace, with both of us leading and a support vehicle available if needed. The cultural visits are conducted by experienced local guides, offering in-depth insight and authentic perspective on Mallorca’s history and traditions.

Our holiday base

Your holiday is based at the wonderful 4-star Hotel Alcanada, set close to the stunning Bay of Alcudia. The hotel sits on a quiet road with very little traffic and is just 50 metres from the water, with Alcanada beach only a short walk away. Although the location is peaceful, the vibrant Port of Alcudia is an easy 30-minute stroll or a 5-minute taxi ride. Rooms are large, bright and air-conditioned, each with a spacious en-suite bathroom, a sofa, fridge and a flatscreen TV with several British channels. The hotel also offers an outdoor swimming pool with a sunbathing terrace – perfect for relaxing after a walk. In the evenings, you can unwind in the hotel’s friendly bar/restaurant, which serves excellent snacks and tapas. There’s also a small supermarket conveniently located right next door.

The food and drink

Many of our guests tell us we should advertise our holidays as a foodie experience and we must agree. The quality of food and wine you’ll enjoy on the Mallorca Experience Plus is far beyond what most expect from a walking holiday. Throughout the week we dine at a variety of personally selected local restaurants, many of them tucked away from the usual tourist trail. Each has been discovered, tried and tested by us, your guides and hosts, to ensure an authentic taste of Mallorca’s best flavours. Lunches are long, relaxed affairs, where conversation flows as easily as the wine. A drink on arrival and as much wine as you wish with every lunch are included. For us, good food and good company are every bit as important as the excursions themselves. Because at Balearic Outdoor Holidays, we believe a perfect day’s activities should always end with a wonderful meal shared amongst friends.

This holiday is open to both couples and singles alike and no single supplement is payable over and above the quoted holiday price.

What’s included

Your Mallorca Experience Plus holiday includes everything you need for a relaxed, worry-free week:

7 nights’ accommodation with breakfast.
Welcome supper (with wine) on the first evening — a chance to meet your fellow guests and settle in.
3 gently guided walks and 2 professionally guided cultural visits, fully supported with use of our walking sticks, fresh drinking water and tea or coffee provided.
5 wonderful three-course lunches, each including a welcome drink and as much wine as you’d like.
All transport, including airport transfers*, local transfers to walks and travel to cultural visits.

*We offer personal transfers from/to Palma airport. We group arrivals/departures together and do several runs during the day. If the flights you are looking at are particularly early or late, please check with us before booking to ensure we are able to accommodate you.
