About our walking holidays for groups/clubs on Menorca
Our group walking holidays on Menorca are aimed at walking groups of between 7 and 20 people travelling together. This might be as part of an official walking/Rambling club or just a group of friends who’d like to walk together in the sunshine. This holiday is to be enjoyed not endured and offers a combination of stunning, fully guided and backed up walking, wonderful food/wine and is based from a charming hotel set right on the beach in the stunning bay of Cala Santandria.
The walks
It would be a crime not to take advantage of Menorca’s beautiful coastline and most of our walks take place alongside the Mediterranean. Highlights include charming little bays, wonderful beaches and timeless fishing villages. We also take advantage of the lesser known interior of the island and walk through lush ravines or ‘barrancs’ as the locals call them. For whatever reason you choose to join us, Menorca is a walking paradise and a surprise awaits around every corner. All walks are of around 6 miles, lightly undulating and taken at a comfortable pace. There are 2 guides in attendance and a backup vehicle is available for anyone struggling. This vehicle also carries required drinking water, plus tea, coffee and digestive biscuits to be consumed along the route. (It goes without saying that, as a group booking, we can adjust the walk distances accordingly to suit your needs.)
Our holiday base
Our holiday base for the week is the wonderful Hotel Playa Santandria, set in the charming little cove of the same name. The hotel itself is literally on the beach and just 20 metres from the water’s edge. Whilst Cala Santandria has a quiet and peaceful feel, there are several decent bars/restaurants within a short walk and the hotel has a lovely little bar/restaurant of its own. This bright and breezy hotel is family owned and has an adult only policy. Its rooms are bright and modern, with a balcony and powerful showers. Facilities include a huge sea facing sun terrace, a small outdoor swimming pool and compact gym. The breakfast room is also sea facing and offers spectacular views.
