About our walking holidays for couples on Mallorca

Our couples walking holidays on Mallorca are simply fabulous. A combination of ‘not too strenuous’ fully guided mountain walking, fine food/wine and a lovely 4-star holiday base. A truly wonderful Balearic outdoor experience.

The walks

The walks during this holiday take place amongst the spectacular Tramuntana mountain range. Each is of around 6 miles in distance and of medium difficulty. Whilst being in the middle of a mountain range, much of the walking takes place along ridges and gentle downhill undulations. All walks are taken at the pace of the slowest in the group and we always have at least 2 guides in attendance and we have a vehicle tracing the route. This is in case anyone needs a lift, but it also carries all required fresh drinking water, plus tea, coffee and biscuits. If you use a walking stick, don’t worry about bringing one with you, as these are also supplied.

Our holiday base

The holiday is based from the wonderful 4-star Mar Hotels Alcanada, right next to the bay of Alcudia. The hotel isn’t part of a large holiday resort, but rather, situated on a quiet road, only 50 metres away from a charming little bay and just 700 metres from Alcanada beach. Whilst benefiting from a peaceful location, the Port of Alcudia resort is only a 30-minute stroll away or 5 minutes in a taxi. Each large, air-conditioned room has a spacious en-suite bathroom, along with a sofa and fridge. There’s also a flatscreen TV with British channels available. The hotel also has an outdoor swimming pool with sunbathing area. If you just want to relax in the evenings, the hotel has a great little bar/restaurant, which serves lovely tapas and there is a small supermarket right next door to the hotel.

The food

It’s often said that we should market our holidays as a gastronomic experience. The level of food and wine available is much better from what you’d normally expect from an activity holiday. During the week, we’ll eat at various local restaurants. Some of these are in charming villages and others with spectacular sea views. All wine and a drink on arrival is included in your holiday price.
